White's tree frogs are native to Australia, Indonesia, and New Guinea. Getting all three frogs to cooperate with the camera was a bit of a challenge, but with patience and with help from the man who supplies the animals for the workshop, it can happen. I used a ring flash for the illumination here even though the frogs are quite large, and because their skin is waxy I had to clone out some of the unwanted reflections. Even though we have fairly natural looking backgrounds set up behind our macro subjects during the frog and reptile workshop, I often replace the backgrounds from images in my photo library because I like the results better. My settings were 1/125, f/32, and 400 ISO, and I took the shot with a 50mm macro lens. As a final touch, I used the burn tool to add a shadow on the bottom portion of the branch and on the ventral surfaces of the frogs to suggest a more natural light source -- in other words, implying the light was coming from overhead as opposed to from the direction of the camera.
