I've seen quite a few animals bare their teeth to intimidate rivals in staking a claim to a territory, food, or a mate. Non are as fearsome, though, as a Siberian tiger. Their teeth are huge and their mouths are so big they could bite off a person's head. I captured this shot in China at a tiger reserve in minus 35 degrees weather. My photo tour group and I photographed the big cats from the safety of a minibus shooting through open windows. It's very much like being on safari in Africa, but here the tigers are captive on a large piece of land of about 40 acres to it looks natural. It was so cold that my breath condensed on the LCD monitor, and that created a sheet of ice on it. I couldn't see the images on the screen at all. Amazingly, my Canon 5D Mark III at the time still worked in the extreme temperature! I used a 500mm f/4 Canon telephoto, and my settings were 1/640, f/11, and 640 ISO.

Jim - Hi Ian, I use a Mac, and I've never had calibration problems. Ever. In fact, I just had 3 32x48 prints made a local hi-end lab in Nashville, and I sent them the files and the prints looked identical to what I see on my monitor. I assume you are using a PC? Let me know.

Ian - Hi Jim,
Hope you and the family are well. Just a general Question if I may, How do you manage to keep the print you see on your computer looking the same on the web? I have just transferred my ownership to Wix and revamped my site, but to my horror when I viewed it on someone else's lap top the images were over exposed. I have a screen that I calibrate monthly with colorMunki. What would you recommend Please. your Images always look stunning day in day out.
