England and Scotland have enjoyed outstanding Spring weather over the past two weeks. Sunny, warm, and beautiful. But this is the opposite of what I have been hoping for. I much prefer overcast conditions that create diffused light, rich colors, and minimal contrast. Today, finally, I had an overcast sky when I photographed Brougham Castle in England from my drone. This 13th century ruins built on a Roman fortification is surrounded by green English countryside, and it looks great from the air. I shot this at an altitude of 268 feet, and the settings were 1/1250, f/1.8, and 100 ISO with the equivalent of a 24mm lens.
