My next photo tour is Carnival in Venice. It starts on Feb. 4, and even though I've been leading tours to Venice since 2006, the incredible costumes set in a medieval environment never cease to raise my blood pressure with excitement. I find it remarkable that the costumed models usually know how to pose beautifully, and often they arrange themselves in groups that just so happens to be perfectly photogenic. That's what happened with this group of models. All I had to do was push the shutter button. I don't think it could have been any more perfect. I used a 24-105mm lens, my go-to lens for carnival, and the settings were 1/200, f/10, and 640 ISO.
