This is the beautiful interior of the Tate Britain Museum in London. I seek out dramatic staircases everywhere in the world, especially when they are spirals, and to exaggerate the stunning architectural lines I used a Sigma 14mm f/1.8 lens. One of the major advantages of this lens is its maximum aperture which allows fast shutter speeds and low ISO settings in dark environments. It also has incredible depth of field, so even with relatively large lens apertures everything will be in focus. In this main entry, there was a dome above letting in quite a bit of light, hence my camera settings: 1/125, f/10, and 1250 ISO. The two columns are angled inward because in composing this picture, I angled the camera down toward the stairs.
