Many animal groups have interesting names in English, such as a 'school of fish', a 'pride of lions', and a 'pod of whales.' Giraffes also have a unique name: a group of them is called a 'tower.' I had never seen a tightly clustered tower of giraffes like this, and when I captured this image in the Masai Mara in Kenya, I was excited to photograph such a unique occurrence. I added the dynamic sky that I had photographed the day before because the original sky was dull and boring. It's amazing how a beautiful sky affects a photograph. My settings for the picture of the giraffes were 1/1000, f/9, 1250 ISO.
