Today I photographed this very unique and beautiful bird in Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya. It is a long-tailed widow bird in breeding plumage. It's amazing to see them fly in this condition because they seem so burdened by the long tail, but that worked to my advantage. The flight was slow and almost predictable, and that helped me get some amazing action shots. My settings for this were 1/640, f/8, and 1000 ISO. The focal length I used was 400mm, and I set the focus points to the center 8 points on the Canon 7D Mark II.
