This is Upper Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona at night. For one of my photography tour groups in the American Southwest, I made special arrangements to go here after dark. We had the entire place to ourselves, and it was magical. My settings for this shot were 30 seconds, f/10, 3200 ISO, and I used a 14mm wide angle lens. The illumination comes from a small LED light that was aimed at the sandy floor of the canyon, and because the sand is light in color, it bounced the light up into the contours of the walls and ceiling of the rock formation which provided even, diffused lighting. I determined the exposure by test shots. Had I used a larger lens aperture, the ISO would have been lower and the exposure time shorter, but some of the foreground rock contours were very close to the camera position and I needed the relatively small aperture for depth of field. I used Neat Image software to eliminate the noise.
