This is my great Pyrenees, Princey, when he was 8 weeks old. I don't think it gets much cuter than this. In order to make an impactful image, I lay down on the grass and shot at eye-level. This is definitely more uncomfortable than standing, but this kind of low angle makes the image look much more intimate and engaging than photographing from a height and looking downward. I used a telephoto lens for the compression and also because I didn't want Princey exploring my lens with his nose and tongue! I took this from about 10 feet away. My settings were 1/200, f/10, 400 ISO, and I used a 300mm f/2.8 fixed telephoto. He now weighs 150 pounds.
