A drone makes me feel like I've been virtually sightless all these years and now I can finally see. Everything looks different from an elevated vantage, and it's constantly intriguing and endlessly beautiful. This is a section of the front of a massive glacier in southern Iceland. The glacier is several miles across and many miles deep. I hovered over one small section of it and shot almost straight downward, focusing on the strong graphic design of the multiple crevasses. My settings were 1/1000, f/2.8, and 100 ISO. I was very grateful for the overcast lighting conditions because that really brings out the blue color of the compressed ice.
