The sky can make or break a picture. There is no denying this. Therefore, it's very important to build a folder in your photo library of all kinds of skies so you can use them when the original sky is distracting, boring, or blown out. In this shot of Venice, Italy the original sky was solid white. It made the picture basically worthless. With the addition of a dynamic sunburst, the photo is totally transformed. In my opinion, it's essential to learn how to do this in Photoshop if you don't know now. Many of the images in your library can be saved and even turned into winning shots that you'll be proud of.
