Here is another composite I put together so I could have complete depth of field. The snowy owl flew very close to my shooting position and, even at f/11, that made the background go out of focus because I was using a 100-400mm telephoto. Landscapes that are blurred, even if they are behind a strong subject, don't look good. Therefore, I used Photoshop to combine a sharp background with a sharp subject and both were taken in sunrise lighting. I selected the owl with the pen tool in Photoshop because this is the most precise way to make a selection. To focus track the bird, I used all of my focus points, AI servo, and the image stabilization was turned off because it wasn't necessary -- and it would slow down the focusing -- due to the fast shutter speed I used , which was 1/3200.

Jim - Thanks, Richard. I carry the 11.5 inch MacBook Air. Don't know the weight -- you can look it up online. It is small but large enough to do Photoshop.
