One of the best ways to be creative in Photography is to combine images. When you start thinking this way, the sky is the limit. You can create fantasy, mystery, and surrealism, and at the same time you can make pictures that are less than perfect -- such as a landscape with a white sky -- into a classically beautiful image with the perfect sky. For this image, I combined a picture of a foggy forest I shot at dawn in Italy with a costumed model I photographed during my Carnival in Venice photo workshop. Instead of simply pasting the model into the scene, note that I placed her so it looks like she is partially behind a tree. Understanding just this one technique in Photoshop -- cut and paste -- opens up whole new doors for you. During the Photoshop workshop I teach in my home, I spend a lot of time on this. The next home Photoshop workshop is Oct. 17-18 in a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee.
