Curved lavender rows

Rows of lavender flowers are beautiful, and photographs of them make lovely patterns. But the best case scenario is when there is a striking background as well. That's what I'm looking for as I scout locations here in Provence. In addition, as good as straight rows of lavender are, even better are curved rows. They are hard to find because most farmers plant in straight rows, but today I came across this incredible field of elegant curves. Not only that, but the road was elevated above the field. This gave me a fantastic perspective on the graphic design of the flowers. The background hilltop town was a bonus. My settings were 1/160, f/22, and 320 ISO. I used a 24-105mm lens.
