Some of my favorite photographs were taken on days where the weather was dismal and dreary. A thick overcast with brooding and even threatening clouds make landscape photographs dramatic. I even like the blue tones that occur in deep shade or under a dense overcast. Many photographers eliminate the blue color bias in post-processing (they used to do it with color correcting glass filters placed over the lens), but I like the pronounced blue because it imbues the image with mood. This is Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in Iceland, and my camera settings were 1/320, f/11, 200 ISO, and I used a 24mm focal length.

Jim - Hi Carlton, This was a full frame sensor -- the Canon 5D Mark II at the time.

Carlton McEachern - Jim, love the green tones in this shot. Where you using a full frame or cropped sensor? I am guessing a cropped sensor.
