This shot shows the ruins of megalithic heads built on 7000 foot Mt. Nemrut in Turkey during the Commagene Kingdom in the first century B.C. The heads fell off the bodies as a result of 2000 years of erosion. To exaggerate the foreground, I used a 14mm f/2.8 wide angle lens placed close to the stone head, and my settings were 1/5, f/20, and 250 ISO. I replaced the original bland sky with storm clouds in Photoshop, and in Adobe Camera Raw I added a lot of 'clarity' to embellish the rough texture of the rocky surfaces. The clarity slider sharpens the midtowns, but the resulting effect looks more like an increase in contrast. And contrast makes texture more pronounced.
