These are the remarkable grounds of the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. It centers around a beautiful botanical garden, but the illuminated fantasy-like structures make it an incredible photographic destination. The colors keep changing, and it was captivating to see and photograph. To exaggerate the graphic lines and to compose the picture with visual drama, I used a 14mm ultra wide angle lens. I used a tripod, and my settings were 2.5 seconds, f/6.3, and 200 ISO. I experimented with both daylight and tungsten white balance, and I preferred the former. This was a single exposure, and in Adobe Camera Raw I lightened the shadows and toned down the highlights to make the contrast in the picture what I saw with my eyes.
