Another beautiful waterfall in Iceland is Godafoss. The Skjalfandafljot River (don't try to pronounce that -- you might hurt yourself!) is 100 feet wide at this point creating a stunning and expansive falls. With a long exposure, the 'cotton-candy' effect looks beautiful with the abstracted water. The photography tour I was leading when I took this shot was scheduled for March specifically to have enough darkness at night to see the aurora borealis. Summer in Iceland is also beautiful, but this island nation is so far north it never gets dark enough to see the lights at this time of year. I shot this with a 16-35mm lens set to 16mm, and that accounts for the extensive depth of field. When using a wide angle lens, you need a much longer exposure time to create the super soft blur on the water than when shooting with a telephoto. My settings were 15 seconds, f/8, and 3200 ISO.
