Happy Halloween! I made this composite with the daughter of a friend of mine in a cool witch's costume. I photographed her on my deck, and then selected her with the quick selection tool and pasted her into the background of a foggy forest in Italy. The forest turned blue in the original capture because it was 6am -- dawn -- and I was purposely using daylight white balance in a high Kelvin temperature situation. I added an image of a snarling black leopard by pasting it into the scene, lowering the opacity, and using the 'lighten' blend mode in the layers palette. The black hair of the cat disappeared (because when you lighten a black layer, it disappears) and I was left with just the eyes and the mouth.
