This is a highland cow I photographed in Scotland. These guys are both very cute and very funny, and when I drive around Scotland I'm always on the lookout to photograph them. How they manage to walk around without crashing into something is a mystery to me. To underscore their comedic appearance, I wanted to photograph one of them up close with a fisheye lens to emphasize the amazing head, but I didn't have that kind of lens with me at the time. When this cow came up to the fence where I was standing, I took the shot with a 24mm focal length on a 24-105mm lens. In Photoshop, I was able to add the fisheye type of distortion with Filter > lens correction. My settings were 1/250, f/11, and 500 ISO.

Jim - Thank you, Sylvia. I waited for quite a while until the cow came up to the fence so it was close enough for this kind of shot.

Wendy - I'm wondering the same thing. The eyes weren't visible in the photo; so how do they actually see? Great photo really like the fish eye.
