This is a blacksmith at work in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. I wanted to show the streaks of fire with a long exposure, but at the same time I didn't want the blacksmith himself to be blurred. I took a few test shots and decided 1/8 of a second was the perfect shutter speed. I used a tripod, and my lens aperture was f/14 with a 640 ISO. I used an 18m focal length on a 16-35mm wide angle, and that gave me complete depth of field plus it exaggerated both the room as well as the streaks of fire. Because of the mixed lighting -- daylight (from a door behind me) and energy saving light bulbs, I set the white balance on AWB.
