This is remarkable Trummelbach Falls in Switzerland just 2 or 3 miles south of Lauterbrunnen. It is actually inside of a mountain. It would be completely invisible and inaccessible to people except brilliant Swiss engineers built a tunnel elevator through solid rock to the uppermost falls. From there, you can walk on a narrow stone path to see and photograph various angles of the raging water that courses over sculpted rock that took thousands of years to create. It's cold, loud, and humid, but the experience is amazing. My settings for this picture were 1.3 seconds, f/2.8, and 400 ISO. I used a 16-35mm wide angle lens. Because the contrast was so extreme, in post-processing I worked with the highlight and shadows sliders in Adobe Camera Raw to bring out as much detail as I possibly could. I purposely left the blue tone in the image (deep shade photographs blue with daylight white balance) because otherwise the image would be devoid of color.
