One of the most unique rock formations in the American Southwest is the 'King of Wings' in the Bisti Badlands of New Mexico. It is extremely fragile as you can imagine. You need a Navajo guide to find it because it's well hidden in the middle of absolutely nowhere. The unsupported portion is 19 feet. I shot this from every angle and in various types of light, and it takes on many different looks depending on how you photograph it. For this image, I used a Sigma 14mm f/1.8 wide angle lens, and the settings were 1/100, f/11, and 1250 ISO. On this photography tour of New Mexico, we've had great luck with having beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Tomorrow I'll post another picture of it taken in low angled sunlight.
