The Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur are stunning, especially at twilight, and when I was in Malaysia in 2002 I focused much of my energy in taking unique pictures of this architectural wonder for my stock photo agency (when stock was still a viable income source). I was shooting film then, and for this image I used the Mamiya 7 with its 43mm lens (which was equivalent to about a 21mm wide angle in the full frame digital format). With film, you couldn't see the results until development back home, so I used the time-tested exposure formula for twilight photography: 10 seconds, f/8, and 50 ISO. I also used daylight white balance film (Fujichrome Velvia 50) which consistently produced a wonderful mix of cobalt blue color in the sky and the shadows with the warm, golden tones from incandescent lights. Once I had the transparency scanned on an Imacon scanner, I added a bit of Glamour Glow in Nik Color Efex Pro 4.
