One of my favorite pictures from Africa is this leopard drinking at a waterhole in South Africa. My photo tour group were having breakfast, and suddenly this leopard sauntered over to the waterhole right behind our lodge and started drinking. We dropped everything and my guide drove as fast as possible around the side of the building to get into position for the shot. Amazingly, the leopard was still drinking and didn't seem phased by our presence. In fact, he posed for us in all kinds of positions for about 20 minutes. I leaned out of the Land Rover as far as I could and as low as possible to take this shot. At the time (2015), I was shooting with a Canon 7D Mark II which was known for having a lot of noise, so I tried to keep the ISO low. I used a 100-400mm telephoto set to 300mm, and my settings were 1/500, f/7.1, and 1000 ISO.
