These mushrooms sprouted on my front lawn, and instead of picking them I wanted to see how they matured. When they opened fully, I thought the most unique perspective would be from below. To photograph all of the unique detail, I obviously needed a wide angle lens. The problem was that the distance from the underside of the mushroom head to the ground was only about four inches. It was impossible to put my Canon R5 with a 14mm lens in that space with enough room to focus on both mushrooms, so I took this with my iPhone 13 on wide angle mode as I pushed the smartphone down into the grass. This was the only way I could take the picture without killing the mushrooms. In Photoshop, I eliminated some clutter from the background and then replaced the sky with some interesting storm clouds from my library.
