I'm in the midst of leading my Coast of France photo tour, and this is the beautiful old town of Quimper. The cathedral was begun in 1239 A.D., but it took centuries to finish. I shot this just before dark, and I didn't bother changing the white balance so the images were quite blue. In ACR, I moved the 'temperature' slider to bring the colors back to normal (this is why I rarely change the white balance -- because the colors are so easily corrected in post processing), and then I adjusted the shadows and highlights. I used a 24 - 105mm lens, and the settings were 1/100, f/4, and 1000 ISO.
