At the beginning of my photo tour to Patagonia, I showed a few dramatic shots of Mt. Fitzroy. This landscape image also shows that mountain, but this time it's a tiny part of the composition. The flowering plants in the foreground are fire tongue flowers characteristic of springtime in southern Argentina and Chile. They make excellent foregrounds. Usually, landscape photographers prefer either sunrise or sunset or overcast condition; in this instance, the mid-morning sun illuminated the land and, in my opinion, because of the rich color of the flowers, I think the light works. My settings were 1/640, f/22, and 2000 ISO. I had to use a fast shutter due to the strong wind, hence the fairly high ISO.
