One of the best places to see and photograph leopards is the private game reserve of Sabi Sabi. This is adjacent to Kruger National Park in South Africa. In the five days my photo tour group and I stayed there, we saw 7 different leopards. With that many sightings, you have the opportunity to capture these beautiful cats in a variety of situations and poses. You often see them sleeping in a tree, but sometimes a mass of branches or a dense clump of leaves obscures the view and makes good photography impossible. Other times, when luck is on your side, you can get a full view with beautiful lighting. My settings for this picture were 1/400, f/7.1, and 1000 ISO. I used a 100-400mm Canon zoom.
