I usually don't post pictures like this because I assume most of the people who follow my posts on FB like wildlife and nature the most. There is a big part of me that loves surrealism and all of the wild and crazy composites like this one. I created special effects almost exclusively the first 10 years of my photography career. This is, in essence, a double exposure with a tree I photographed in Patagonia and a frosted glass mannequin head I captured with backlighting. I mirrored the image, and then I rotated it 90 degrees counterclockwise. I then added a reflection using my favorite Photoshop plugin, Flood (made by flamingpear.com). The image was then rotated back (90 clockwise) so the reflection was on the left side of the image. I applied Flood again at the bottom of the image. When stock photography was still a viable way to make money, I created and sold hundreds of pictures of mannequin head composites because they represented mankind without being race or gender specific.
