I've come up with an idea for a new photo workshop in my home, and this involves some very, very unusual things to photograph such as cross-polarization of chemical crystals in a microscope, water drop collisions, and focus stacking. Another very unique subject will be blocks of acrylic that I've purchased in which 2 1/2 million volts of electricity have been applied to the material, leaving incredible lightning-like designs in the interior of the block. When lit from the side or the bottom, the resulting images are exquisite. What you see here is one such dendritic pattern caused by the powerful electric charge. In Photoshop, I then added the watery reflection using the plug-in 'Flood' (made by flamingpear.com) and the Japanese cranes I'd photographed on the island of Hokkaido in Japan. The date for this workshop will be announced on my website next month.
