This is an interior courtyard of Pena Palace in Sintra, Portugal. It opened in 1854 which accounts for the fact it's in pretty good condition. I took the shot with a 16mm focal length and used the top of two walls to form a V in the immediate foreground. They act as bold leading lines. This is a very popular tourist destination, and I had to clone out a lot of people. Because I used a wide angle lens, though, each person was very small in the frame and that made cloning quite easy. My settings were 1/250, f/8, and 320 ISO. I replaced the original white sky using the Sky Replacement feature in Photoshop. That made a huge difference. In highly trafficked places that see a lot of tourists, you should plan to get there as early as possible. This makes the photography more successful. If there are too many people, it will be impossible to remove them and then you won't like any of your shots.
