A bit of pet humor. This is a 3-photo composite. The terrace is from Salobrena, Spain. The Siberian husky puppy was actually on the bench (a small piece of furniture I bought specifically for photographing puppies) and he was, indeed, wearing the sunglasses. He had actually fallen asleep during the photo session, so I gently placed the sunglasses on him. I pasted the bench/puppy image onto the terrace, created shadows using the burn tool on 25% opacity, and then added the black cat that I photographed in front of a residential door in Salobrena. Because I shot the terrace with a 16mm wide angle lens, the foreground was disproportionately large compared to the background, typical of wide lenses. That meant I had to make the bench and puppy quite a bit larger than the cat who was placed several feet away. Paying attention to perspective and lighting makes composites look believable. Interestingly, the original cat image was a one second exposure from a tripod. It was perfectly still.
