By simply moving the temperature slider in either Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom, you can create very dramatic effects with any RAW image (this doesn't work well with jpeg images). This is particularly true when you've captured mixed lighting in a picture. In this case, the reddish/yellow candles mixed with daylight entering this temple in Mandalay, Burma. I moved the temperature slide to the left to intensify the bluish tones, and then to retain the golden colors from the candles, I moved the saturation slider to the right.
I used a 14mm ultra wide angle lens for this shot, and the camera settings were 1/50th, f/3.5, 800 ISO, tripod. Even though my lens aperture was large, the extensive depth of field you see here resulted from the use of an extreme wide angle.
