So many people responded positively to yesterday's post of Teddy that I thought I'd share another one. Teddy was only 8 weeks old in this shot, while Princey, my great Pyrenees, was one year. When I brought Teddy home from the breeder, the two dogs bonded instantly. They started playing right away, and Teddy climbed all over Princey without a moment's hesitation. I was surprised that my new cocker spaniel puppy wasn't intimidated by a 150 pound Pyrenees who could have easily turned the puppy into an appetizer! But Princey is exceptionally patient and accommodating, even allowing Teddy to sit on his face at times. From the very beginning, they have always been together. I captured this with a 70-200mm lens, and the settings were 1/640, f/5.6, and 500 ISO. Because of the shallow depth of field typical of telephoto lenses, I took the picture when the two heads were essentially on the same plane so both of them would be sharp.
