Ok, I know this is pretty bizarre. You probably think I didn’t take my meds today. I’m sure you don’t know that for the first 10 years of my photography career, these are the kinds of images I loved to do. For example, one of my favorite sales in the mid-70’s was an ultra-bizarre image for an album cover titled “Electronic Musical Impressions of the Occult” by a group called Ataraxia. The nature, wildlife, and travel imagery came later. So, every once in a while I go File > revert in my brain and have some fun with wild surrealism. This picture began with a simple portrait of a young woman and then I combined her with a fractal, mirrored her face, and then combined that with a mirrored image of another fractal. Finally, using Filter > liquify, I enlarged the eyes and narrowed the nose. When I started, I had no idea where I was going with the image. It just sort of happened.
