I photographed this cherry tree near my home. Every Spring, it's spectacular. On another day, I photographed my wife, Indiana, sitting on a low brick wall at the side of my house, used the quick selection tool in Photoshop to select her, and then pasted (Edit > paste) her into the tree shot. Notice that the lighting on the tree and the lighting on my wife is the same. When compositing images, the light always has to match if you want realism. Using Edit > transform > scale, I sized the image of Indiana to fit the scene. Finally, I used the plugin Flood to create the reflection. I usually spend a lot of time replacing white skies, but in this case I actually like the whiteness. It makes the magenta flowers on the tree really stand out. This is the kind of thing I teach in my online Photoshop training.

Rohinton - Hi Jim. Lovely photo, but I have a query. Should the reflection of your wife also be on the green grass?
