This is an Indian one-horned rhinoceros I captured in Chitwan National Park, Nepal. The animal was amazingly close -- I used a 241mm focal length on a Canon 100-400 telephoto zoom (this is before I bought the 100-500mm lens). My settings were interesting -- 1/80, f/16, and 3200 ISO. I took a chance in using the relatively slow shutter so that I could close the lens down for increased depth of field. Had I not done that, the background foliage behind the rhino would have been 'almost sharp' -- a scenario I usually don't like at all. I was glad for the overcast conditions because mottled light in a forest situation is not ideal at all
