Ian - Cracking textures on the wood, and a very dramatic sky, but it's the School house that keeps you interested, as in " I wonder when it is going to fall down"!
Am I correct in thinking the school house was softened in PS by reducing clarity?
Have you tried a B&W version of this out of curiosity?

Jim - Hi Ian, Clarity doesn't soften an image. It does the opposite. It sharpens the mid-tones. Yes, I've tried a black and white conversion with Nik Silver Efex Pro. It looks pretty good.

Jim - Thanks very much, Lorraine. I'll drop you a note tomorrow about the one on one.

Lorraine piskin - Love that house/barn ... I love the way you anchored the red cellar door on the bottom left and the red structure
to the right at back of the house/barn.
