I have three sub-themes, so to speak, that run through my nature collection. They are 'blue in nature', 'albino animals', and 'white on white'. The blue theme is especially interesting to me because, except for the sky and large bodies of water, blue is an unusual color in the animal and plant kingdoms. I photographed this baby snub-nosed monkey in China, and even though the primates are wild, they come into a refuge center from the surrounding mountains for the food offered to them twice per day. Like all babies, these guys were always on the move -- playing, climbing, swinging from branch to branch, and interacting with their mother. Just keeping them in focus was a challenge. I used a center cluster of 4 focus points and AI servo to follow focus as much as possible. My settings were 1/500, f/8, 1000 ISO, and I used a 100-400mm zoom along with a 1.4x teleconverter, giving me 560mm of focal length.
