My favorite city in Morocco is Chefchaouen. It is painted blue everywhere, and it makes for an amazing background for vendors' wares, women dressed in colorful clothing, and even for cats. Sometimes, of course, the elements I want to include in a composition aren't perfectly arranged, or they are simply not there. So, I get creative and use Photoshop to assemble them. This is a composite of three elements: the young woman, the cat, and the striking blue environment. I used a 16-35mm lens for the background. When the sun is out, photography is tough. That's why it's often best to go out shooting before breakfast and before the sun comes up. The lighting is guaranteed to be soft and diffused, and you don't have to deal with harsh contrast. In addition, the streets are virtually empty of people. My next photo tour to this very photogenic country starts August 29, 2023.
