Here is another outrageous bird, a peacock. We have all seen these colorful birds in zoos and bird parks, but they are rarely posing like this one was in the Bali Bird Park on the island of Bali in Indonesia. Their tail is simply outrageous, and for the first time I was able to capture a picture that shows how long and beautiful it is. Even though the background is very busy, I like it in this instance because all of that greenery forms a natural and appropriate environment for these Asiatic birds. There are exceptions, but most bird photographs look best when the head is turned to the side so we can see the profile. My settings here were 1/160, f/5, 1600 ISO, and I used my 100-400mm telephoto set to 176mm.
