Before I owned a drone, I hired a plane to fly over the Namib desert and the Skeleton Coast of Namibia. This is one of the driest places on Earth. The last time it rained here was 1942! The charter company took the door off for me so I had an unobstructed view, and because of my insecurity and dislike of small planes, I put two seat belts on rather than just one. To mitigate the vibration of the plane as well as the sudden moves due to turbulence, I used a fast shutter speed -- 1/1600th of a second. Since depth of field was irrelevant at this distance, I shot wide open, f/4.0, and that permitted a low ISO of 200. Quite a bit of the Namibian landscape is covered with desert vegetation, and that doesn't make for nice aerial images. So, I told my pilot to stay clear of plant life. I took this shot with a 70mm focal length on a 70-200mm lens.
