photograph two Cape genets. They are small, cat-like animals that hug the ground, and it's difficult to get a clean shot of them without a lot of brush. Even though the background in this picture is busy, it shows their natural habitat well. I took this picture about an hour before sunset, and instead of golden lighting on the genets, I captured them in the shadow of a large thicket. I was able to shoot at eye-level because the animals were on a small rise. My settings were 1/400, f/6.3, and 800 ISO. I used a 100-400mm Canon zoom for the shot.
