My England and Wales photo tour begins today, so I'm in London right now. A shot from my last tour here shows the remarkable interior architecture of the Museum of Natural History. In order to capture this scene with no people, you have to be first in line before the museum opens. Then, you have to rush up to this vantage point and shoot quickly. I used a 14mm focal length for this ultra wide view, and since I needed complete depth of field -- no tripods are allowed -- I rested the camera between the brass railings for stability. My settings were 1/5 second, f/22, and 800 ISO. I used the self-timer built into the camera instead of a cable release to trigger the shutter. I focused about 5 feet from the camera.
