These are the same models in red, Mona Rose and her sister, I photographed on the grand staircase I posted a few days ago. The palace we use offers many different and very beautiful compositions, and this is one of them. This is a single shot done with a 14mm wide angle lens while I lay on the floor looking up at the two women and the remarkable 15th century ceiling. When using a wide angle, it's very easy to end up with skewed lines, asymmetry, and distorted angles. You have to forget about being excited by a great subject and focus your attention on every detail in the composition. Mona's costume designs are always outstanding, and she has an acute eye for detail. Therefore, I wanted to make this perfect for her because I know she would immediately see any flaws. My settings were 1/50, f/5, and 5000 ISO. I hand held the camera.
