There are a number of techniques photographers can use to simulate watercolor paintings using their photographs. I show two examples here. These pictures began as color infrared images, and then I applied Topaz Simply 4 to them. Instantly, they look like works of art that don't resemble photos at all. In marketing my work, I have always tried every approach possible, and using techniques like this have allowed me to sell pictures in a wide variety of markets.
The elevated picture of the village is Bacharach along the Rhine River in Germany. The picture of the castle is Vianden Castle in Luxembourg. European scenes are perfect for this kind of abstraction.
