This is obviously a very unusual photo of the extremely endangered black rhino. In order to get this closeup wide angle picture, I took my photo tour group several years ago to a private reserve in Kenya. This rhino had been raised from a calf to adulthood with a 24-hour armed guard to protect it from poachers. It was used to people so, in essence, it was tame. I was lying on the ground looking up with a 16-35mm lens to get this unusual perspective. My settings were 1/125, f/16, and 200 ISO. Notice that even with a wide angle lens, I used a small lens aperture because I wanted to make sure the background environment was sharp.
