These are boys in the Banna tribe in Ethiopia. They are extremely skilled at walking on make-shift stilts, and they make money from tourists passing by who want to photograph them. To get a clean sky background, I asked the group to climb from the road where they originally posed to a small hill about 30 feet away. With unbelievable skill, including the smallest boy who couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old, they navigated down into the ditch paralleling the road and then over the rough terrain to climb the small hill -- all the while on their stilts. My photo tour group and I got down low and shot upwards with a wide angle lens. I used a 16mm focal length for this shot, and the settings were 1/500, f/10, and 200 ISO.
