This is the Torre del Mangia in Siena, Italy. It's one of the most compelling shots in Tuscany. I used a 14mm wide angle lens because of its ultra wide coverage, but also because of its extensive depth of field. In a shot like this, it takes some time to find the exact central point so all of the vertical and horizontal lines are aligned with the edges of the frame. They will not align unless you position yourself on that exact point. My camera settings were. 1/40, f/8, and 500 ISO. With ultra wide angle lenses, you can get away with slower shutter speeds and still have sharp pictures. I wanted to keep my ISO low because I shot this in 2017 when noise was a more bothersome issue than it is today.
